Pediatric Associates of Wellesley,
Inc. strives to provide measurably superior care
and service to our patients.
Along with the staff, we added the array of systems necessary to coordinate and deliver the increasing number of services required of a modern group practice. A small number of long-time patients will remember the 900 sq. ft. office we occupied in Wellesley in 1989. We are grateful for their patience, as well as that of all our subsequent patients, as we moved, first to a more expansive space in the same building, and then to our current site in Weston in 1994. In 1992, we computerized our billing system, and just as we thought we understood it, it became obsolete and we had to upgrade. 1993 saw the introduction of our pediatric nurse telephone triage, provided initially by one nurse and in 1999, by four full-time RNs. By 1995, we were able to provide all night and weekend coverage within the practice. This service was complemented by the introduction in 1995 of Night Train Pediatrics, an after-hours pediatric nurse telephone triage service, founded by Dr. Curran along with three colleagues in the community. In 1997, we hired a certified lactation consultant, Ms. Lisa Tyree, RN, to serve as both our nurse manager and our own in-house lactation consultant to breast-feeding mothers.
In May of 1998, we opened our second office in Medfield, Massachusetts in order to provide care closer to home for an expanding portion of our patients. In September of that year, we agreed to take over the care of the patients of Dr. Myron Siner, a long-time Wellesley pediatrician, upon his retirement.
The last decade has seen a great deal of growth in Pediatric Associates of Wellesley. At each step of the way, we have focused our attention on the care and service given each of our patients and their families and we continue to strive to provide comprehensive, personalized pediatric health care.
